Moffat Library 2023 Summer Reading Program Recap
We ended the summer reading program with an Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 29. Along the way we held programs for adults, teens and kids, including the very well attended Adult Geode Felting, Teen Henna Tattoos, Kids Fancy Nancy Soiree and Paper Butterfly Plates Craft. enjoyed by library staff and patrons alike!
Our Local History Program The 124th New York Regiment at Gettysburg Civil War Historian Charles J. “Chuck” LaRocca engaged the house on the subject of this local regiment with audience members reading from eyewitness accounts and letters home, bringing the era and the characters very much to life.
All minutes read and numbers of books read were tallied and broken out amongst the reader age groups. Raffle tickets, earned by reading books were drawn for the Gift Baskets.
