WINSLOW HOMER’S WATERCOLORS

Join art educator Laura Nicholls to explore the watercolors of the renowned American painter Winslow Homer. After the Civil War, Homer began to use watercolor to create innovative paintings that focused on the daily lives of “common folk.” In addition to seaside locations in Massachusetts and England, Homer spent some time on Houghton Farm in Mountainville, NY creating delightful images of local agricultural life.
