Friends of Moffat Library 2023 Meet the Authors Luncheon

The Friends of the Moffat Library will host the annual Meet the Authors Luncheon on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from noon to 4pm at the Round Hill House in Washingtonville. The authors will be Addison Armstrong and Julia Dahl.

Addison Armstrong’s love of story writing began when she was five-years old and wrote stories about talking school supplies and ants getting their revenge on exterminators.  While a junior at Vanderbilt University studying elementary education, she wrote her first historical fiction novel, The Light of Luna Park, which was published by G.P. Putnam’s Sons in January of her senior year. She went on to receive her degree in Elementary Education and Language & Literacy Studies, as well as a Masters degree in Reading Education and teaching English as a Second Language. She is currently teaching English language learners in Brooklyn and continuing to write. Her second novel, The War Librarian, was published in 2022.   Addison lives in Manhattan with my husband Jorge.

Julia Dahl is a novelist and adjunct professor of journalism at NYU. Her first novel, INVISIBLE CITY, was a finalist for the Mystery Writers of America’s Edgar Award for Best First Novel, was named one of the Boston Globe’s Best Books of 2014, and has been translated into six languages. The New York Times called her most recent novel, THE MISSING HOURS, “a great reckoning with the moment we find ourselves in.” She lives in Cornwall-on-Hudson.

Tickets will go on sale at the Moffat Library in mid-February 2023.  Tickets will be $40.00 per person.
