Moffat Library Local History Librarian Matthew Thorenz Publishes on Life of David Wright Hudson
Moffat Library Local History Librarian, Matthew Thorenz recently published in the Spring, 2018 issue of the Hudson River Valley Review Journal. The article “From Washingtonville to the Western Front” chronicles the life of local soldier David Wright Hudson during his service in the First World War.
To research his article Matthew used the letters and diary kept by Sergeant Hudson between 1917 and 1919 that had been donated to the Moffat Library just prior to Hurricane Irene. The Hudson Collection is now in the process of being transcribed and digitized for online viewing.
