MOFFAT LIBRARY 2011

As 2021 comes to a close, we reflect on all the amazing things our community members have done to make all of our lives better.

In the summer of 2011, Hurricane Irene hit and devastated our area.  From that low we as a community came together to create something beautiful.  The kindness that was bestowed on us, the thoughtfulness that we saw between neighbors, and the caring that came from people near and far was truly something to behold in those years following that storm.  They still astound me today.

We want to express how thankful we are for the friends we’ve kept over the years and for the new friends we’ve made.  Whatever life throws our way, we can figure it out if we do it together.  You HAVE done it together and it’s been amazing to see.

I drove past one of our elementary schools a few weeks ago and saw on their sign one message - “ROUND HILL CHOOSES LOVE”.  That has really stuck with me.  I hope this holiday and every day after we choose love and positivity as our guiding light over darkness.  I know I’m going to try.

Everyone here at Moffat wishes all a happy and healthy holiday season and throughout the year.  Know that even when we cannot be together physically, we are together in spirit.  

Thank you for the wonderful things you do every day to make life a little nicer for those around you.
