The Great Beginnings Book Club meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30 pm.

Our meeting room is reopening in April! The meeting will still be available virtually for those who are unable to travel to the library. Book selections are posted at least several weeks in advance to give you a chance to focus on specific selections.

Moderated by John Donaldson.

New members are always welcome!

Our April 12th meeting features Great Circle by Maggie Shipstead.

A young woman living in the Mountain West during the Roaring Twenties is determined to become a pilot and circumnavigate the globe despite the risk and her ambition’s unconventionality. A century later, a Hollywood actress is cast to play the pilot in a film focusing on her mysterious disappearance while flying over Antarctica. These twin lives unfold side-by-side in the narrative showing their similar hunger for self-determination in vastly different geographies and times. Epic, meticulously researched, and thrillingly told, Great Circle captures two different yet equally intriguing swathes of American history.

Copies of Great Circle will be reserved at Moffat Library between March 8th and April 12th. You can also obtain a copy on your own at the links below. Note that some titles may not be available in every format. Please feel free to reach out to moffat@rcls.org if you are having difficulty getting a copy.
