The Great Beginnings Book Club meets the first and third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 pm.
While our meeting room is closed, we are holding virtual meetings via Zoom. Don’t worry if meetings are too frequent for you to finish each book; we would be thrilled to see you at whatever meetings work for your schedule. Book selections are posted at least several weeks in advance to give you a chance to focus on specific selections.
Moderated by John Donaldson.
New members are always welcome!
Our February 16th meeting features There There by Tommy Orange.
This searing debut was nominated for a host of literary awards in 2018 and 2019. It tells the story of various contemporary Native Americans as they seek connection with their families and traditions. It is an important opportunity to consider the lives of urban Indians and the social and political forces that have shaped their lives through American history.
Copies of There There will be reserved at Moffat Library between January 26th and February 16th. You can also obtain a copy on your own at the links below. Note that some titles may not be available in every format. Please feel free to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are having difficulty getting a copy.
This program will be run virtually via Zoom. A link with instructions on accessing the meeting will be e-mailed to registrants the day of the program. Again, if you encounter any difficulty or have any questions, please contact us at email@example.com!
