[Rescheduled] Great Beginnings Book Club
Date(s) - Tuesday, August 25
7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Due to storms and power outages on August 4th, all of our upcoming Great Beginnings Book Club meetings have been moved back by one week. The current changes have been reflected in our calendar. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The Great Beginnings Book Club normally meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm.
While our meeting room is closed, however, we will temporarily be increasing the frequency of meetings to every alternate Tuesday at 7:30 pm. This is to offer people an additional opportunity to enjoy the book club and socialize, as well as an excuse to read some lighter and shorter stories during the pandemic. Don’t worry if two weeks is too short a time to finish the book; we would be thrilled to to see you at whatever meetings work for your schedule.
Moderated by John Donaldson.
New members are always welcome!
Our August 25th meeting feature Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. We’ve been waiting a long time to take a look at Owens’s fabulous debut! The circumstances are rather unexpected, but this one promises to be a real treat.
You can view the book’s description and catalog record at the links below. Our physical circulation service has resumed, but you might find it difficult to get hold of a physical copy in time to read it for our meeting. Until the August 18th meeting, all Moffat cardholders can borrow a digital copy of Where the Crawdads Sing without any waiting or hold period. Please feel free to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are having difficulty getting a copy.

This program will be run virtually via Zoom. A link with instructions on accessing the meeting will be e-mailed to registrants the day of the program. Again, if you encounter any difficulty or have any questions, please contact us at email@example.com!
