(POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE) MEET THE AUTHORS LUNCHEON
with Authors Mary Calvi & Peter Duffy
Thursday, September 10th @ 5:00 – 8:30 PM
Round Hill House, Washingtonville, NY
This year The Friends of the Moffat Library are happy to announce authors Mary Calvi and Peter Duffy as their featured speakers for this popular annual event.
Mary Calvi is the co-anchor of CBS 2 This Morning and CBS 2 At Noon at WCBS-TV in New York City, and the recipient of 10 Emmy Awards. Her debut award-winning novel, Dear George, Dear Mary: A Novel of George Washington’s First Love, is a never-before-told story, hidden away for centuries, revealing that long before tea was tossed into Boston Harbor, unrequited love helped spark a flame that ignited the cause that became the American Revolution.
Peter Duffy is the author of Double Agent, The Bielski Brothers & The Killing of Major Denis Mahon. His most recent work, The Agitator, is the story of William Bailey, who led the first American uprising against Nazism. Duffy also works as a freelance journalist and writes regularly for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York magazine, The New Republic, Slate, and many others.
Books will be available for purchase at the event. The Friends raise funds for the library through the sale of author books at the luncheon. An autographed book makes a great gift for the history lover!
Tickets for the luncheon are $40.00 & will be available for sale at the Moffat Library in late February 2020
