In his past life, Jim DeFelice was an award-winning journalist, political columnist, & editor before publishing his first book, Coyote Bird, which won critical acclaim for its portrayal of humanity vs. techn
ology, as well as its sizzling aerial battle scenes. In more than 30 military thrillers, and his first military history Rangers at Dieppe, Jim has explored the effects of war, politics, terrorism & technology on ordinary soldiers and civilians. His most recent book is American Sniper, which he co-wrote.
Karen Abbott is the author of New York Times bestsellers, Sin in the Second City: Madams, Ministers, Playboys and the Battle for America’s Soul and American Rose: The Life & Times of Gypsy Rose Lee. She is a featured contributor to Smithsonian magazine’s history blog & also writes for Disunion, the New York Times Civil War series.

We are working for the Moffat Library by promoting the library, its services and programs to the community. Everything we do benefits the library! Please read about the events planned and let us know if you would like to help with any of them you will have fun and meet other Friends, too!

- Friends support the library in many different ways and are recognized by the library and the community for their sustaining influence.
- Support from the Friends helps the library maintain its role in providing resources and information to the Washingtonville community.
