Moffat Teens Compete in Battle of the Books

On Saturday, September 10th, teens from libraries around Rockland, Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties (including “Team Moffat” pictured here) battled it out for the chance to become world champions (champions of the teen reading world at least!).

The teams answered questions on seven books, (click for a synopsis of the selected books) in a college-bowl type quiz format that capitalized on tension!

The 15 teams of 120 teens took on the challenge with vigor and performed admirably. Assemblyman of the 99th District, James Skoufis also made an impromptu appearance to cheer the teams on. Finally, to top off the exciting and fun-filled day, there were prizes for all the participants!
